Building a business is the finest form of freedom. Freedom from a boss, wage slavery, time constraints and more. It's the call of the wild. The song of the open road. But it can be easy to get lost or waste your precious resources.
Doesn't exist.
I don't offer cookie-cutter "guaranteed" formulas. What's the fun in that? Your business is absolutely unique. There are no rules. Together, we can make it whatever you want it to be. Something totally unheard of, or something slightly different. Don't follow templates. Let's create solutions that shatter all expectations.
I know. My personal adventure is taking all of that boring stuff off of your plate and then implementing it into your business in a way that feels like an epic road trip for your team.
As a trailblazing entrepreneur, you need to be able to make fearless decisions with sharp instincts. You want to be able to focus on moving the needle up the speedometer and leave the rest in your dust. You need to be able to steer into the storm of chaos and win at navigating change.
I help you focus on what matters, slash all the fluff and build solutions for yourself and your clients that pack a punch!
Did you just chuckle and say you aren't really a badass? Because I heard that.
I know how hard it is to build a business. You deserve to be proud of yourself and to look your reflection in the eye every morning and remind yourself that you have and will continue to do amazing, mind-blowing things.
It's okay to need help with that. In fact, it's best to get as much help as you can. I'm here to help.
Said no one memorable, ever.
No such thing. It's never too late to pivot. To be human is to redefine yourself each day.
Recruiting goes far beyond the ad. Let's dig into your culture, benefits, local reputation and more.
Building a self-sufficient, legacy business that dominates requires dedication to change, trust and risk.
You can collect data on everything! If you feel blind, it's time to figure out what data you need and how you can collect it.
More revenue = more workload. If you can't take on more work, investigate your bottlenecks.
Larger clients = larger requirements. Your company must "dress the part" of a business that can support larger clients.
I mentioned pivoting, trust, and delegation right?
Administrative and customer service problems ALWAYS trace back to poor training practices and a lack of documentation.
Small businesses often develop a horizontal structure where everyone is their own boss and knows everyone else's job. With growth you need to verticalize, creating clear departments and mangers, to support internal needs and serve more or larger clients effectively.
While everyone should feel valued, no one is so completely indispensable that they cannot take time off work (or be terminated if necessary). SOPs and job descriptions are crucial. An SOP should be so clear that someone who has never done the job before should be able to walk in and follow the instructions successfully.
If you think this every time you go through a process, chances are...someone has already come up with a solution. We live in an age of affordable technology and automated workflows. Businesses have to take advantage of this technology in order to compete today.
Always ask yourself if there is a better way. Better training? Better use of current software? An add-on? Better communication? Nothing is ever so perfect it can't be changed.
Project management is your invaluable trail guide! WITHOUT micromanaging, the priorities should be set at the team and company levels.
Business should feel like a FUN challenge, an adventure, where your team members have your back. Creating that is the onus of the leadership.
A reactive culture breeds burnout. Yes, we burned the roadmap, but that doesn't mean we don't make plans.
Do NOT overlook this red flag! If customer service is in anyway dropping the ball, there are clear issues that have to be addressed. Seek professional help now!
